In a previous blog I said that I love electricity I would like to ammend that by saying I don't love static electricity. The pictures below are just a minor glimpse into what we are experiencing here due to static.
I have tried the following recommended remedies to no avail, rubbing dryer sheets on the hair, hair spray, more conditioner, leave in conditioner and lotion. For some reason the hair in our family loves to float and fly with the static in the air. It could mean we all have electric personalities or more likely we all need some serious hair help. I did receive some advice to get a humidifier in the home. The humidifier would make more moisture in the air removing the dryness that causes the static. A quick side note is that my oldest daughter is allergic to mold. Why does that matter? A humidifier is one of the largest emitters of mold if not cleaned daily with bleach. So one solution I have yet to try is the humidifier but it isn't an option for our home. I will keep static if necessary to avoid and asthma attack due to an allergic reaction from my daughter. So for now our hair looks like the above pictures or the exact opposite being slicked down and pulled tight with gel and tons of Aqua Net. Does anyone know how we can find a happy medium? I love being shocking but not to literally cause pain shocking people because of all the static I gather in my hair.
